River Fishing Report

We are in the middle of a pretty ood weather pattern that has been bringing warm (for winter) and mostly sunny days to Central Oregon. I was out on Saturday and fished a nice BWO hatch and caught a few fish. The fish really seemed to be looking for cripples.
There are also a few October Caddis out and some little winter stones and midges but no real surface activety on anything but the Baetis.
Nymphing has been productive. I had a customer land a 22" rainbow on a Golden Stone nymph yesterday. Golden Stone nymphs are the best! Drop a small nymph behind and fish a Thing-a-ma-bobber indicator and you should be into a some fish.
Bull Trout fishing is good. Nymphs account for many of the Winter fish but I always recommend a streamer.
Most of the snow is gone so access is easy and driving to Bridge 99 is no problem. Pretty rare in February.
