149-600 Cubic Feet Per Second on average. TVA has been generating quite a bit these last couple of weeks due to us getting substantial rainfall. The river is in great shape due to a good flushing out from generation. Check the TVA release schedule before you make the drive.

River Fishing Report
The Toccoa River is fishing great so far this January. Blue Wing Olive's have been sporadic and haven't been showing themselves as much lately. The fish will still take BWO patterns though. Midge patterns are working well when BWO's are not hatching. There have been some days with dense midge hatches and the fish key in on them when this happens.
The Mother's Day caddis hatch is right around the corner. It's the Toccoa's first big hatch of the year and can bring some dynamite dry fly fishing if the hatch is dense enough. The month of February is a great time to hit the toccoa for dry fly fishing and throwing streamer patterns.
You can pick up some nice fish nymphing in deep riffles where the trout can stay out of the excessive current. Just make sure your getting down to them and have a drag free drift.
Crowds are dying down a little now that we are well into the winter but expect them to increase for the upcoming hatch.
Streamer fishing has been good for targeting larger fish. Dress warm and fish hard and your going to catch fish. Don't forget to use long leaders and small tippet.
The Toccoa River is a year-round trout fishery. For more information and up to date fishing reports you can visit my website and check out my BLOG. www.kent-klewein.com
