Storms earlier this week brought the flows up on the middle and lower sections of the Klamath, while t he upper Klamath near Iron Gate Dam continues to fish well. There are less half-pounders around than we were seeing in November, but more adult steelhead in the 3-7 pound range. Indicator-nymphing is the best strategy in that section of river, with rubberleg nymphs, copper johns, and egg patterns producing well. The prime season for the upper Klamath and Klamathon Lodge is right now, and should last through February.
